At Stormbird 3D Prints, every item is crafted with care, precision, and a sprinkle of chaos magic. Because all products are made-to-order, our refund policy works a bit differently than traditional retail. This page explains how refunds, returns, and replacements work.
1. All Sales Are Final (General Policy)
Because our products are custom-made, printed on demand, or highly personalized, we do not offer refunds or returns for:

buyer’s remorse
-
ordering the wrong size, color, or style

deciding you no longer want the item
-
minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect function
However—don’t worry! If something shows up damaged, defective, or incorrect, we absolutely take care of you (see Section 2).
2. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will gladly offer:

a free replacement, or
-
a full refund
To qualify, please contact us within 72 hours of delivery with:

Clear photos of the damaged item
-
Photos of the packaging
-
Your order number and name
Once verified, we’ll send the replacement ASAP.
3. Incorrect Item Received
If we accidentally ship the wrong item, wrong color, or wrong model:

We will replace it at no cost, or
-
Offer a refund
No need to return the incorrect item unless we specifically request it.
4. Print Quality & Tolerances
Because 3D printing is a layer-by-layer process, minor cosmetic variations may occur such as:

visible layer lines
-
tiny surface artifacts
-
slight color differences
-
minor stringing or marks on hidden surfaces
These natural print characteristics are not considered defects unless they significantly impact the item’s function.
5. Custom Work, Custom Models & Personalized Orders
Custom commissions, custom-modified files, unique prints, and personalized items cannot be refunded after printing has begun.
If you cancel a custom project before printing starts:

You may receive a partial refund

A design fee or time-based fee may be deducted depending on work already completed
6. Lost Packages
If the carrier confirms your package as lost, we will:

Replace the order at no cost OR
-
Refund the full amount
If the address provided was incorrect, lost-package responsibility shifts to the customer (see Shipping Policy).
7. Refund Processing Time
Once approved:
-
Refunds are issued to your original payment method
-
Processing may take 5–10 business days, depending on your bank/provider
8. Exchanges
Because items are made-to-order, we do not offer standard exchanges.
If you need a different size or variation, a new order must be placed.
